Kia ora Avon. I was whangai when I was born, my biological father is John Marshall Reedy whom lived in Balclutha and married Ruth Karaitiana from Wairarapa. I got to spend time with my father John Reedy before he passed and he was trying to explain his whakapapa to me. I am tracing whakapapa and wondering who was my fathers father and mother. My Father did tell me his grandmother was Materoa and grand father John Marshall Reedy, where his name originated from.. Im interested in making whanau connections. I also met a uncle Bob, my fathers brother at my fathers tangi in Balclutha 2010, a lovely man who lived in Gisborne, I believe he is the last survivor of his siblings.. I would appreciate any korero you may have to help. hopefully this can also link me into these gallant men in the 28th Maori Battalion also. Nga mihi ki a koe..
