Turi MacPherson served alongside his brothers, Basil and Marino Macpherson, in World War Two. His wife was Eileen Te Oneroa Macpherson (nee O’Callaghan) and they lived in Rotorua and Auckland. Koro Turi passed away on 7 May 1953 and is buried at Kauae Cemetery, Rotorua.
