Helen Savage (nee McLean) Uncle Terry as he was know to those in Onepu where he lived was the last of B Company from this area to have passed on. He would have turned 90 the week before he died and a large celebration had been planned for him. He was a wonderful man who I was privileged to have shared tales of the people he fought with and places he went. We will all miss him pottering outside in his beautifully kept garden with his beautiful roses. Moemai e koro e kore warewaretia kia koe moemai moemai His grapevine and fruit trees and him first thing in the morning to his early retirement at night.
