William Henry West (Walla) and other members of the Main Body of the Māori Battalion in Perth. They are on eight hours shore leave from the ship Aquitania.
William West is 2nd right in the back row. When he enlisted he was an Oysterman in Invercargill. He served with D Company of the Māori Battalion.
