A view of Takrouna, Tunisia

This is the southern route up to Takrouna that was taken by a dozen men led by Johnnie Rogers and Haane Manahi in April 1943. Italian troops manned defensive pits on the incline of the hill. A wall of cactus, typical of this part of Tunisia, can be seen in the foreground.
