Ngarimu VC pilgrimage tour participants were part of the ceremony to unveil this memorial. Veterans were represented by Nolan Raihania of the Maori Battalion and an Italian veteran was also in attendance. Dignataries of the municipality and representatives of the Italian army were also present.
