I was recently in Tunisia on the Ngarimu Pilgrimage with descendants of the Maori Battalion. My grandmother, Rora Lorna Metekingi of Putiki, Wanganui had Takarangi connections. We made sure to mihi to all our whanaunga at the urupa we visited - one of which was Wireti (Barty) Takarangi resting in Enfidaville Commonwealth Cemetery
