E Toru nga Whakatupuranga te Maunga Ko Komokoiti te Awa, Ko Parahaki te Marae, Ko Tekumu-Tu te Hapu, Ko Ngatokimatawhaorua me te Mataatua nga Waka, Ko Ngapuhi/Tainui/Tuhoe nga Iwi, Ko Wikitoria Pou-Keane te Ingoa. I am number 9 of 10 tamariki of Adam & Hiki Pou. May I say how wonderful it is to read up on our Matua passed. I remember when my Matua Adam passed, I did not believe he had gone as Matua Hapeta was of similar looks and therefore, my sister Meri and I were not overly upset and could not understand why others tangi for our Father as we were quite sure Matua Hapeta was our Father. Matua Te Hemara was a cuddly giant of a man whom we hold fond memories of, especially when we use to visit him at his whare in Taheke. Gone, are our men and women who carried and held true mana.
