70 years ago this month

For most of June the Battalion are at Arce, north-west of Cassino. CO Lt-Col Young is keeping them occupied and out of mischief. The American’s have occupied Rome. Read the war diary for June 1944 here.

Privileged to see a copy of my whangai parents' marriage certificate in February 2018. Ngaruhoro Harry Titirangi married Materoa Delamere at the Opotiki Courthouse Registry Office on 24.7.1953.

We obtained the service medals of Ngaruhoro Harry Titirangi from Defence Headquarters Wellington in May 1990.

Matenga - Date of death: Ngaruhoro Titirangi passed away on 19.10.1986 in the Opotiki Public Hospital. His tangihanga was held at Whitianga Marae, SH 35 East of Opotiki.
