I was able to have this great man as my dad. He was a strong man with great strength, courage and bravery. A soft nature but so strong in Spirit. His days of the war were hardly shared with us - his children - but the wounds from many gun shots we saw each time we washed his back was just a small glimpse of what we knew went on with him in the war. He was a prisoner of war for a number of years but returned home safely. Always grateful for him, miss him eternally.
