Veterans at Pipitea Marae

Te Puhi Patara (B Coy) speaks at the pōhiri for veterans and members of regional branches of the 28th Māori Battalion Association.

They are attending the final luncheon for the 28th Māori Battalion Association held at Pipitea Marae, Wellington on 1st December 2012. 

Pipitea Marae was chosen for the final official luncheon as it linked to the Battalion's return from war, when the men were welcomed back by iwi and government representatives at Pipitea on Wednesday 23 January 1946.
