Soldiers from the Māori Battalion's A Company share a tin of bully beef as their truck moves through Tripoli, Libya, in early 1943. Left to right: Sergeant Charlie Hohaia, ?, Corporal Sam Shepherd, ?. Hohaia and Shepherd were Ngāti Kahu, from Kēnana, Mangōnui, in the far north.
