I remember uncle Mita growing up as a child. A very well respected man who was well liked by everyone. Uncle had a lot of war stories to tell, i heard alot from mum. My uncle's memories still live on as his name is still circled in conversations. An awesome diver too. I remember uncle and aunty maude at the old home not far from Nanny Maudes place. The last time i saw uncle he was attending a Anzac service in Kaitaia......... a few years ago now. We miss our uncle very much. KA_moko

Ko Mita King oku Matua Tupuna. Miss him and my Nan so much! My Whanau Home is still there, my mum and dad live there, Miss them both Arohanui Leigh.

Tena koe Leigh. Who are your parents? King Allen was my grandfather he was a cousin to uncle Mita. We always stopped in to see your nana and papa when we went to Ahipara. They were a loving couple and adored by many. I heard your papa was quite a solider too in his days and a fighter not many would muck around with your papa. I just remember the aroha all our uncle's and aunties had for the whanau all the older generation who taught them that whanau is everything. Your nana and papa will always be remembered in our hearts. Ngā mihi
