Heremia Delamere was the youngest son of Ngarori and Edward Kohi Delamere. He was 24 years old when he was accidentally killed in France. My grandpa Hiki Delamere an older brother of Heremia told me, " a bomb explosion caused Grandpa Jerry's death."

Alan Delamere's visit 2016

Alan remarked on his visit with his wife to Grand Uncle Heremia Delamere's grave in 2016. " When we arrived at the cemetery we had a devil of a time trying to locate our tipuna as the CWGC uses Roman numerals on their website but the cemetery uses Arabic (normal numerals). As it was another kiwi turned up looking for his ancestor and was having the same trouble. We put our heads together and we both found our people. They were near each other; in fact only one grave between each other. We have made a new friend."
