Ko te pepeha o tana hapu, ko 'Ngati Koura tauareare' ina te tauareare o nga mea tane ki te whawhai, ki te pakanga. Ko te pepeha o taku hapu, ko 'Hamua Pakanga Iti'. Aue! Akene he tohe te mahi a te tamaiti nei!

Kia ora,My mumgave me a copy of this photo but a black and white version so it's not as clear as this one though, i do wish we could obtain a coloured copy. My mum said we are a descendant of Hori Hohua. I believe he is my nana's father? My daughter was selected by her school to travel to Turkey next month along with 3 other students and 2 teachers to attend the ANZAC ceremony in Gallipoli. She'll be taking a copy of the photo and will be visiting Hori Hohua's grave on behalf of us all here andpay our respects. My daughter will be the first from her generation to travel to Gallipoli so we are very proud of her.I just wanted to share this with you all.

For your daughter and family:- What a wonderful honour to you all, and this will take place on the Anniversay of the ANZAC's landing at Gallipoli. Congratulations. You have added to the mana of your family. It was only a year ago ANZAC 2013 when my moko Laney showered us with similar frisson when she, with ten of her peers went to, Sandakahn in Malaysia, returning with precious memories.

Nice to see photos of my koros brothers never recalled seeing or meeting any of them. Fine looking weren't they. I remember this photo of him hanging on the lounge wall.
