KEPA, Kepa (Koro). Reg. No. 811099, 28 NZ (Maori) Battalion, B Company, 11th Re-inforcements. He was a Stretcher Bearer during the Italian Campaign and Koro has been an Excellent example to the 28 NZ (Maori) Battalion Auckland Association and to his whanau and his people. We will all remember Koro for his Huge Smile and beautiful singing. He has been our Living Treasure and will always be our Eternal Taonga like all of our Maori Battalion Veterans. Ake, ake, kia kaha e! Rest easy Matua Kepa, you have earned your rest.
