Jack Biddle

Jack Hohua Biddle, who served with B Company.

Jack was a member of and for some time Vice-President of the Onehunga RSA in Auckland.  These words are taken from one of his reports as Vice-President:

"If your Credit Union credited your account each morning with $86,000 but carried over no balance from day to day, allowed you to deposit no cash in your account and each evening cancelled out whatever amount you failed to use during the day - what [do] you do - you'd draw out every penny of course.  Well we all have such a Bank but it deals not in dollars but in time.  Each morning it credits us with 86,400 seconds and at night it rules as lost whatever portion we fail to invvest to good purpose, it carries no balance and allows no overdrafts and no deposits.  If we fail to use the day's deposit the loss is ours.  There is no going back, no drawing against it tomorrow, so invest your seconds well, in order that may give you the utmost return ni health, happiness and success.

It is your time, make sure you control it."
