I am the eldest grandchild of Robert James Larkins from A Company in the Maori Battalion and Winnie Larkins. We were brought up knowing about the Battalion and thier feats and accomplishments from our Grandad who loved his fellow soldiers like whanau!. We have attended many reunions with our Papa and I was a debutante at one of the reunions in whangarei around 1990ish...if I remember well... haha.
