Hi my dad became a captain in the 28th Maori battalion  his no is 39001.He was wound 3 times he enlisted when he was only  16/17 he signed  his dad's name on his enrollment  papers  so he could  join  the war his dad had only found out what dad had done when dad went home and said he had signed up for the Maori battalion.dad stayed in the army until the war was over
