Movement order - December 1941

This movement order for December 15 details an ambitious daylight frontal assault to be conducted by the Māori Battalion.  The Battalion had been involved in a number of operations at  Menastir, Sollum, Gazala, including an attack on Point 181 as part of the Eighth Army's pursuit of Rommel.  December 15 was a tragic day for the Battalion as C Company lost a third of a 13 platoon when their trench was hit by a shell.  For more detail see the December 1941 diary.
