I am still reseaching Corporal Robin Allen who served with the 28th Maori Batallion WW2. He is my father older brother and it is to do with our family whakapapa/genealogy.

Also Im wondering if your department have any or all ww2 records or any photos of my uncle that I could have.

Thank you

Kia ora Maraea,

The New Zealand Defence Force hold WW2 records - you can request Corporal Allen's file here: https://www.nzdf.mil.nz/nzdf/medal-and-service-records/

There's a little bit of information on the Auckland War Memorial Museum Online Cenotaph, but not a lot: https://www.aucklandmuseum.com/war-memorial/online-cenotaph/record/C17197

The New Zealand War Graves Project has a photo of the memorial in Athens, with his name inscribed on it: https://www.nzwargraves.org.nz/casualties/robin-allen

I hope this helps with your research.

Ngā mihi,

Kate
