A beautiful, poignant and moving photo of your Mum Connie. I have no doubt your haerenga was unforgettable, I know how much the rest of the whanau enjoyed sharing the trip and memories with you.

Kia ora cousin Ruby, I've been very interested in your Dad's story for a long time now and always wondered what made him go to war with a wife and three young children? I first became interested in him when exploring our whakaapa and his story struck a chord with me. No doubt life has been incredibly tough not having your Dad around and I think about you, Margaret and Peno, your children and all you have lost. I remember your Mum as she lived with Aunty Elinor who we visited when young. We called her Aunty Amo and I didn't realise she was your mother, Peno's wife until I started on this journey. Anyway, the photo of you Connie posted is touching, it must have meant so much to visit your Dad's grave - It was a highlight for me something I felt I had to do when I travelled. Arohanui, Dawn
